Please read this page before using the information on this site or beginning any coaching programme. It explains the scope of coaching and where professional medical care is needed instead.

Coaching Is Not Medical Care

The information and services provided by Optimal Health & Nutrition are intended for general educational and wellness purposes. They are not medical advice, medical nutrition therapy, physical therapy, diagnosis, or treatment.

Coaching does not replace care from a physician, registered dietitian, physical therapist, mental-health professional, or other qualified healthcare provider.

What Coaching Covers

Coaching services are limited to fitness and general nutrition guidance. That includes structured training programmes, movement coaching, general nutrition education, habit and lifestyle support, and accountability.

Coaching does not include:

  • Diagnosing any condition, injury, or illness
  • Treating or curing any medical condition
  • Prescribing, adjusting, or advising on medication
  • Rehabilitation or physical therapy
  • Medical nutrition therapy for a diagnosed condition
  • Psychological therapy or mental-health treatment
  • Eating disorder treatment

If you need any of the above, please work with an appropriately licensed provider. I am glad to work alongside your healthcare team where that is helpful.

Speak With a Doctor First

Consult a physician or other qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise programme or making significant changes to your nutrition — especially if any of the following apply to you:

  • A heart condition, high blood pressure, or a history of cardiac events
  • Diabetes or another metabolic condition
  • A current or recent injury, or ongoing pain
  • Pregnancy, recent childbirth, or postpartum recovery
  • Surgery within the last twelve months
  • A chronic illness or autoimmune condition
  • A history of disordered eating
  • Any prescribed medication that may affect exercise or appetite
  • Dizziness, chest pain, or breathlessness during activity

Risks of Exercise

Participation in exercise and lifestyle change involves some level of risk, including muscle soreness, strain, injury, and in rare cases more serious events.

You are responsible for participating within your own limits, using proper form, and stopping if something feels wrong. Please communicate any concern, discomfort, or change in health as soon as it arises so the programme can be adjusted.

Body Composition and Assessment Results

InBody uses bioelectrical impedance to estimate body composition. Results may be affected by hydration, food intake, exercise, sodium, alcohol, menstrual-cycle changes, and testing conditions.

InBody results should be viewed as estimates and are most useful for monitoring trends when testing conditions remain consistent.

The same applies to any calculator or assessment tool on this site. Figures such as calorie needs and metabolic rate are approximations based on the values you enter, not clinical measurements.

Individual Results Vary

Individual responses to training and nutrition vary. Outcomes depend on multiple factors including consistency, starting point, health status, nutrition, training, recovery, genetics, and lifestyle.

No specific result, timeline, or outcome is promised or guaranteed. Testimonials and progress images shared on this site reflect the experience of those individuals and are not a prediction of what you will experience.

Blog and Educational Content

Articles published on this site are provided for general educational purposes only and are not medical advice. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Speak with an appropriate healthcare professional regarding symptoms, medications, injuries, medical concerns, or individualized treatment.

Your Responsibility to Disclose

Please inform me of any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations that may affect training or nutrition, and let me know promptly if anything changes.

Exercises can be modified based on individual needs, comfort, and ability — but that is only possible if I know what I am working with. Where appropriate, you may be advised to consult a qualified healthcare professional before continuing.

In an Emergency

Never delay seeking medical attention because of something you read on this website or discussed in a coaching session.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
